Ryan Getzlaf is a professonial hockey player. He is currently playing for the Anaheim Ducks (formerly the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim), the team he was drafted to in first round (19th overall) of the NHL Entry Draft in 2003.
In the past Getzlaf has played for the Calgary Hitmen (WHL) where he served as a captain for part of his tenure, the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks (AHL), and the Portland Pirates (AHL). He was a part of Team Canada twice in the World Junior Hockey Championships winning gold in 2005 and silver in 2004. He was also selected to appear at the YoungStars Game at the 2007 NHL All-Star Game. Getzlaf capped of the 2006-2007 season by winning the Stanley Cup with the Anaheim Ducks!
